A fantastic week long RYA Competent Crew Course
My son and I booked booked the RYA competent crew course with Weymouth sailing to prepare for a family flotilla holiday.  We were warmly welcomed by Adrian and Kristen and very well looked after all week – nothing was too much trouble.
The training was well delivered, thorough and completely tailored to our needs leaving us very well prepared for our holiday.  The boat and equipment were to a very high standard and we had a fantastic weeks sailing.
Not only did we learn a lot we also had a lot of fun and would highly recommend Weymouth Sailing to anyone.

There seems to be a movement throughout Europe for certificated proof of sailing skills which more and more people are encountering, so it seemed prudent to undertake an ICC assessment. Although a sailing cruiser owner for over 25 years, actual practice may omit some situations and some skills may not have been practised as much as they should be.

Weymouth Sailing School’s offer of a refresher course, teaching modern practice and regulations prior to an ICC assessment, was for me an ideal way to bring skills up to current standards and meet the minimum level of certification.  I found that I did learn a lot due I’m sure to Adrian’s teaching style which is both patient and enthusiastic, and a very thorough practical exploration of skills in a variety of situations. An excellent course and assessment which is to be highly recommended.
